Introducing Life & Living Insurance with nib

On 29 April the nib Group acquired Kiwi Insurance Limited, allowing us to provide greater value to our members by giving them access to life and living insurance, in addition to health and travel insurance. 

What this means if you’re an existing Kiwi Insurance policyholder 

There is nothing you need to do. You’ll continue to get all the same great benefits you get now, however, there are some changes you should know about – these are outlined below: 

  • Our legal name has changed 
    The new legal name for Kiwi Insurance Limited is now nib nz insurance limited, but it’s the same company, and the trading name will be Kiwi Insure for a while longer.

    As we work through the changeover, you may see some communications with the nib logo and some with the Kiwi Insure logo. Don’t worry — it’s the same people, continuing to look after you in the best way possible.

  • A new Privacy Policy applies
    Members with a Kiwi Insure policy underwritten by nib nz insurance limited, will have their personal information transferred to nib, and managed under the nib privacy policy.

  • We’ve updated the complaints process
    You can find information about how we manage complaints on our complaints page. If we’re unable to reach a resolution, you’ll be able to escalate your complaint to the Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman Scheme (IFSO), rather than the Banking Ombudsman’s scheme previously used by Kiwi Insurance Limited.

  • Where to find your policy documents
    If you’d like to view your policy wording for Kiwi Insure products insured by nib nz insurance limited, you can find a copy on the Kiwibank website.
